Paul has appeared on stage in productions of "Romeo and Juliet" and "Observe The Sons Of Ulster Marching Towards The Somme." For the latter he was presented the Dora Mavor Moore Best Actor award in 1988 for his portrayal of young Kenneth Pyper, a Protestant soldier from an aristocratic family; Pyper's experiences in France have left him seeking death.
Besides Due South, his appearances on the big and small screens include; Aspen Extreme, Cold Comfort, Getting Married in Buffalo Jump, Whale Music, XXXs and 000s and Buried on Sunday. He was featured in the critically acclaimed miniseries Armistead Maupin’s Tales Of The City, in which he played sex-addicted womanizer Brian Hawkins. Last year Paul appeared in the Stratford Festival's production of "Hamlet," for which he received rave reviews.
He has just finished work on the movie Men With Brooms, which he wrote, produced and directed.
